Tucson: Day 5

It was a rainy day and we didn't stir too much from the campsite save an afternoon trip to the store. It was also a little chilly for Tucson, in the mid-50s.

In the morning, I worked on my computer while Scott made a fire and read.

I tried to fix my laptop so I could run Photoshop and make a flyer for orchestra, no dice. It's not modern enough with only 150 GBs; turns out you need at least ten times that much. I tried to work with Photoshop on the Web. Useless. I tried to use Canva. It's okay, but it won't get me what I need without climbing a big learning curve. So I decided to buy an external hard drive. I ordered it and it would be ready to pick up in an hour.

So I went out and read by the fire. It was a nice fire. I finished my second book, Anne of Green Gables. I really enjoyed it. It rained off an on while we were at the fire and finally it got bad enough that we went inside.

We ate a little lunch. Scott picked me this orange from our tree.

It looked so good! It wasn't. Fortunately, I remembered I had store-bought oranges, so I used that instead to make a fruit salad.

Then we went to Best Buy to pick up my hard drive, and then we stopped at Sprouts for some groceries, and then we went home. Traffic in Tucson is gnarly and chaotic and nuts. It's a grind to get anywhere.

The rest of the day included more of the same: reading, computer work, eating. I made tacos and they were as good as Nando's, IMO. We played cards, took showers, played NTY's puzzles, watched a Would I Lie to You? and fell asleep.
