Tucson: Day 10

We had a nice day. Scott's back was better, and he babied it all day. The temperature started off quite cold but warmed up quickly.

He went off early to sit in more comfortable chairs by the pool. He texted me soon to say the hot tub felt great. So I got ready, and by the time I headed out, it was sunny and a lot warmer.  We stayed for a long time.

I did laundry and then took a shower. Then I went back and practiced. He went to his favorite Adirondack chairs by the fire pits and read.  He loves them so much he intends to make some when he gets back home using one as a model.

He stayed past when they turned the fire on at 5:00 pm. He came back around 5:45, and we headed to the KOA restaurant for dinner. This time it was slightly more disappointing.

We both had the same dinners as before, except we swapped out veggies for carbs (he had fries instead of broccoli and I had mac and cheese instead of corn). The steaks were delicious. The fries were good, but it looked liked they split one portion between the two of us, and the mac and cheese was inedible. Service was uneven; we got our food quicker this time, but we had to chase the server down for the bill after waiting a long time. They are just understaffed.

We went back to the RV, played cards, did a NYT crossword, and then Scott headed out to the truck to sleep.

By the way, he was planning on taking the electric heater out to the truck while I would have used the propane furnace that just got fixed. But we discovered the furnace is still not working. So he dressed warmly and took a lot of blankets.
