Phoenix/Mesa: Day 15

Not much happened, but it was a good day. After coffee, Scott read, I did dishes and wrote, and then we opened a new puzzle. It was another 1.000-piece puzzle, but it had standard shaped pieces. We worked on it all day long, stopping for lunch around 2:30 and ending when we couldn't see anymore. We made good progress, but didn't finish it.

The wind got us today. We had finished the border, turned over all the pieces, and organized all them by color into little piles, when a gust of wind blew over the folding panel. It blew a lot of pieces over the puzzle and onto the multicolored gravel. It didn't undo too much work, but it took a bit to gather the pieces from the ground. So far, it seems we found them all.

We like to look around at the other RVs. The most common ones are huge, like Momentum, Millennium, Montana, etc. There are a lot of C-class as sell, like Chateaus and Views. There are a fair number of fancy B-Class as well.

There were a couple Casitas, which we think are cute though they are too small to suit us.

There have been several nice-size Airstreams, which are always appealing though, in the end, I don't think I'd want one.

A new to us, cool-looking, and frankly bad-ass camper is an Imperial Outdoors Xplorer.

And then I saw this tent on top of a Jeep. It looked pretty cool. I should have got a picture because it turns out there are a lot of Jeep-top tents for sale and I'm not sure I found the exact one this was. But here is a pic from the Internet.

After we headed in from doing the puzzle, we decided to forego dinner because of our late lunch. Scott read outside and I practiced. Then we played cards and then, on account being hungry having had no proper dinner, we had some chocolate-covered nuts instead.

Then we went to bed and did a couple NYT puzzles, but halfway through the crossword, I started to doze. So we put it away and went to sleep.
